After successfully winning the tender, Harmony consultancy and Engineering has undertaken the feasibility study to narrow down a suitable and sustainable option from the viable options provided by the project managers that intent to improve the stormwater drainage systems of Adelaide city council Nursery. To carry out the study in an organized manner, the company’s consultants from distinct departments scrutinized relevant background reports provided by the clients. On the basis of the viable options, each department then carried out and assigned tasks that involved examining the existing stormwater drainage systems, treatment strategies and systems, suitable applications of technologies such as WSUD (Water Sensitive Urban Design Technologies), proper design strategies abiding the EPA guidelines and consultations with relevant service authorities if needed.
Three feasibility study options were identified by harmony tendering:
Option 1: Upgrade/re-design of existing systems:
Option 2: Implementing new designs and Upgrades
Options 3: Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) technologies and Low Impact Design (LID)
